Mercedes-Benz G500 "Lang" Pickup Truck is Larger than Life

An extended wheelbase, pickup truck conversion of a Mercedes-Benz G-Class is something you expect to see in the land of infinite highways and not in the land of chocolate, beer and streets so tiny that a Toyota/Scion iQ is used to collect imagery from streets that were too narrow for Google's regular camera cars… Read more »

Mercedes-Benz Takes Refreshed G-Class Off-The-Road in New TV Spots

Although one of the oldest models on the market since it was launched...two years before Ronald Reagan came into office, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class is also if not the, one of the most capable luxury off-roaders money (lots of it…) can buy these days.

And it is this quality that Mercedes-Benz wants to promote in its newest TV spots for the revised G-Wagen named "Style" and "Navigation", both of which can be viewed in the videos that follow right past the break.

German Special Customs Cooks Up a 740hp Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG

Regardless of how much power Mercedes-Benz's AMG performance division gifts its models, there will always be customers wanting more horses under the hood and a tuner willing to supply the need.

2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT: New Name for the Refreshed Coupe and Roadster Models

Just two years after the SLS AMG 'Gullwing' coupe went on sale and less than a year since the introduction of the Roadster model, Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a mildly update version of its halo supercar, which from now on, will be known as the SLS AMG GT in both body styles.

The update mostly focuses on improving the SLS AMG GT's performance and handling with the 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine gaining an extra 20hp over the outgoing model at 583hp (591PS) at 6,800rpm, while maximum torque remains the same at 650Nm (479 lb-ft) at 4,750rpm.

Along with a faster AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed double-clutch transmission featuring newly developed gear change functions and optimized transmission control, the V8 propels the SLS AMG GT from zero to 100 km/h 0.1 seconds faster than the current model at 3.7 seconds, and can reach 200 km/h (124mph) in 11.2 seconds [0-60mph:3.6s].

New Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Performance Studio Edition is for Japan Only

Not that Mercedes-Benz is having a problem selling every C63 AMG that rolls out of the factory, but the Stuttgart-based premium carmaker wanted to treat Japanese buyers to a limited edition version specially customized for the domestic market.

In contrast to most special edition models these days that rely on added amenities at the best to stand out, the new C63 AMG Performance Studio Edition has actually been modified inside and out as well as under the hood.

Spied: First Shots of 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Interior

After capturing photos of the cabin of the next S-Class W222, our spy shooters have managed to nab the first interior shots of another upcoming Mercedes-Benz model, the 2014 C-Class.

The first thing you will probably notice on the dashboard is the tablet like fixture hovering on top of the newly styled circular air vents. Unless Mercedes-Benz has a surprise in store for us, we suspect that the high-resolution display will be fixed on the dash, as is the case with the new A- and B-Class models.

The menus on the screen will be operated using the controller in the center console, right behind the manual or automatic gear shifter. A secondary TFT color display is built into the dashboard between the instrument cluster gauges.

The test car seen here was fitted with a large panoramic roof, which some reports say may be offered with the Magic-Sky Control option, which utilizes electro chromatic glass technology to turn the windowpane from transparent to opaque at the touch of a button.

VÄTH Tunes…Factory Tuned Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Black Series Edition to 746-Horses

Last summer, Mercedes-Benz launched a Black Series Edition of its C63 AMG Coupe featuring a more hardcore chassis setup and an uprated 6.2-liter V8 producing 510hp (517PS) to target those that were not impressed by the 451hp (457PS) "standard" model.

As it seems, VÄTH was not impressed with Mercedes-Benz's proposal either as the aftermarket tuner has developed a new performance package for the C63 AMG Coupe Black Series Edition called V63 Supercharged.

New 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL63 AMG Sports Twin-Turbocharged V8 with 550-Ponies

Mercedes-Benz is expanding the range of its newly introduced GL-Class 7-seater crossover with the addition of a new, high-performance AMG model.

The 2013 GL63 AMG is scheduled to go on sale in mainland Europe this November and in the UK, the U.S. and other markets around the world in the first quarter of 2013, with pricing details for each country to be released closer to the SUV's on-sale date.

The zippy people carrier sports the same 5.5-litre V8 biturbo gasoline engine found in other AMG models such as the ML63 AMG SUV and SL63 AMG roadster. The direct-injection unit is rated at 550hp (557PS) at 5,250-5,750 rpm and 760Nm (560 lb-ft) at 2,000-5,000 rpm.

Power is transferred to all four permanently driven wheels by an AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC seven-speed automatic transmission.

The GL63 AMG completes the 0 to 100km/h (62mph) sprint in 4.9 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h (155 mph).

SPY SHOTS: 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Sheds More Camo, Reveals Interior

In less than a year's time, Mercedes-Benz will launch the sixth or ninth generation if you include the 1954 S W180 "Proton", the 1959 S W111 "Fintail" and the 1965 S W108, of its lauded S-Class model series.

Codenamed the W222, the 2014 model year S-Class is a hugely important vehicle for the German premium automaker, as after the demise of the poorly received and money losing Maybach brand, it will regain its place as the group's flagship limousine.

For this reason, Mercedes-Benz has made plans to expand the S-Class' range from three model to six models. These will likely include the normal and long wheelbase sedans, a coupe that will replace the current CL-Class, a super-luxurious and extra-long "Pullman" variant and possibly, two convertible versions with two and four-doors respectively.

Our spies nabbed a prototype of the regular S-Class sedan with less camouflage providing us a better look at the exterior, while also securing some new shots of the interior.

As you can see, there's no need to peel away all the disguise to see that the W222 will retain the current S-Class' familiar silhouette.

Foolishly Risky Overtake by Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG

Just because you drive an exotic supercar like the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG with hundreds of ponies neatly tucked under its long hood, doesn't automatically give you super abilities or a pass on the laws of physics…

Take a look at what this driver of a red SLS AMG attempted during the 2012 Mille Miglia race in Italy in the video that follows right past the break.

Scoop: New Mercedes-Benz CLA Makes Another Appearance on the Road

The sporty looking compact sedan we initially came to know as the Mercedes-Benz CLC before the Stuttgart automaker's design boss Gorden Wagener revealed that it would be named the CLA, has been caught once again by our spies in Germany.

Hidden under all that black camouflage is the toned down, production version of the well-received Concept Style Coupé (CSC), which Mercedes-Benz showed less than a month ago.

GSC Makes the Mercedes-Benz G-Class Look Fast with GoldStorm Package

So what if the G-Wagen was initially developed as a military vehicle before Mercedes-Benz began offering it as a rough n' tough civilian model back in 1979; tuners continue to see a street racing potential in the G-Class, despite the fact that everything about this model screams "4x4 off-roader".

Then again, Mercedes itself has gone down this path with its insane and utterly pointless AMG variants spearheaded by the new G65 AMG, which sports a…603bhp 6.0-liter bi-turbocharged V12.

Aussie Billionaire Wants to Build Titanic II but Refuses to Pay $333 Speeding Ticket...

At the end of April, Australian billionaire Clive Palmer made world headlines when he announced plans to launch a full-size replica of the Titanic that will make its maiden voyage from England to New York in 2016.

Fast-forward a few weeks to today, and the Australian Mining magnate is once again in the news, but for a very different reason.

The 58-year old businessman from the sunny state of Queensland was ticketed by Australian police back in January for going 87km/h (54mph) in a 60km/h (37mph) zone in his Mercedes-Benz. The police officer issued him an AU$333 (US$329 or €258) fine and deducted four demerit points from his driving license.
