Nissan Develops Tire-Pressure Warning System for "Dummies", will be Available on all 2013 Models


Whilst automakers and suppliers alike are trying their best to improve fuel efficiency on every model they produce, a great number of drivers often neglect one of the leading causes of poor fuel economy.

And no, we're not talking about being heavy footed or leaving your windows open on the highway, but tire pressure.

According to the U.S. Department of Energy, drivers can improve gas mileage by up to 3.3 percent simply by keeping their vehicle's tires inflated to the proper pressure. Another recent federal study says that under-inflated tires triples the risk of an accidents.

Nissan wants to go Global with New U.S.-Made 2013 Altima Sedan, Triple Exports


Nissan has very high hopes for the newly introduced 2013 Altima sedan, the first series production models of which rolled off the assembly line in Smyrna, Tennessee, on May 15, and in Canton, Mississippi, on June 6.

The Japanese company not only wants to surpass last year's sales of 295,790 Altimas in the States, which landed it in second place in the mid-size segment, some 42,000 units behind Toyota's best-selling Camry, but also expand its reach to more global markets.

You Have to Hear this Gas Turbine Powered Datsun 280ZX Rat Rod


Normally, we are not in favor of customizing classic cars but this time we are going to make an exception, first because there are still plenty of Datsun 280ZX coupes out on the road and second because this conversion is truly cool and unique.

You may notice the Knight Rider-style hub caps or the matte black finish and those rocket inspired (or is that Madonna's Vogue bra?) headlamp replacements, but what really sets apart this 1983 Datsun 280ZX is well hidden under its bonnet.

Nissan Juke R can be Fun on the Ice as Well


While Nissan does not need any help selling the small production run of its 545-horsepower and 160mph (257km/h) Juke R special, the Japanese automaker is constantly looking for a reason to create additional buzz around the high-performance crossover with the hope that some of it will rub off on the regular model.

Following a string of videos from Dubai that entailed a supercar grudge match, Nissan PlayStation GT Academy winner Lucas Ordoňez took the Juke R to trial it at the snow-capped mountains of Norway and the Losna Isbane Ice Track.

Nissan Begins Series Production of 2013 Altima Sedan in Smyrna


The first series production version of the all-new 2013 Altima has rolled off the assembly line at Nissan's Smyrna plant in Tennessee.

The Japanese carmaker has built more than 4.4 million examples of the four previous generations of the Altima since production started in Smyrna in 1992, a decade after the plant came to life.
